  • If you try to correct every little mistake your driver make, he probably won't be able to fix all at once. Instead, focus on the points where most time is lost, and help to fix that first. Once he becomes consistent at doing these points right, you can move on to other points in the lap.

  • Identify Potential for Improvement
  • You can see in the data if the driver is braking late enough, strong enough, if he’s carrying enough speed through the corners, and so on. Once you identify where most time is lost, you can look at what your driver is doing wrong in these points.

  • Correct Driver Technique
  • In order for you to correct driver’s technique, first, you need to know what the proper technique is! You will learn how to identify correct braking points and race lines and you will be able to teach your driver the correct technique for each point of the circuit.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

    Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rodrigo Santos, and I’ve been working with motorsport engineering for about eight years, with experiences in race car design, testing, vehicle dynamics, simulation and trackside work.

    I currently work as a race engineer in Porsche Carrera Cup Brazil, where I had the opportunity to work with worldwide known drivers, such as Cacá Bueno (runner-up and 3rd place in the past two seasons of Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY) and Lucas Di Grassi.

    I have worked in European and Brazilian categories, and my work is internationally recognized through my website, Racing Car Dynamics. In fact, I was invited by Formula 1 to present the technical side of the sport to their sponsors’ VIP guests in the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix.
